It is a honour and a privilege to be 1st XV Captain for the 25/26 season. Brackley RUFC is a special place for me and one I have always called home. Since re-joining the club I have witnessed a real growth in all areas, whether it’s been the junior section coming through the ranks or the girls rugby going from strength to strength. This is due to efforts of all the volunteers involved with the Club.

Watching from afar last season, it proved to be a huge year of development for the 1st team, with many young players stepping up to the plate to take over the mantle from the old guard. Whilst we still have a strong core of the old guard presence, it is really pleasing to see young talent growing in confidence and experience. This is a credit to all our mini and junior coaches.

We are very lucky to have a talented coaching group for the seniors with Dave Mitson, Spencer Kervin, and the addition of Alex Waller. They have enabled pre-season training to be one of the most enjoyable ones I have been part of. We plan to play a very exciting brand of Rugby at a high pace with a never say die attitude. I am fully confident the sideline support will be throughly entertained on match days.

This year provides new challenges with the re-structured league setup and a new looking 1st XV, however, the aims are still in place to be competitive and enjoy the Rugby on and off the field. Finishing 6th last year has provided the team with a real tangible target to beat, in a league that most people would agree will be a tougher challenge.

Thank you for your support of Brackley RUFC and we hope you enjoy the Rugby.
